During a recent interactive session with media persons at a private event, Shriya was asked to react on the remarks made by Sana Khan that South Actresses Drink & Smoke Too Much and the actress replied,"Everyone has a life. I think, In personal life everyone can do what they wanted to do! It's not good to comment on anyone else. I will keep it to that and I don't talk either about anyone else or about my personal life. That's what I will say!".
Sana Khan commented that Actresses down South smoke and drink a lot much more than their contemporaries in the North do, contrary to the popular perception that Bollywood actresses were addicted to such habits. "I have personally seen many South Actresses walk with a swagger after drinking heavily. However, they manage their PR so well that things such as these don't come to light," she said.
Few months back, Shriya's private party pics in which she appeared to be on a high has gone viral on the web. Surprising, media posed the question on booze to the same actress. Is it a mere coincidence or intentional?
