Anushka's disinterest in Dhamarukam ? !!

Anushka is one of the very few heroines that can act and carry the whole film on her shoulders. We don't need a better example than Arundhati to prove it. An actress of Anushka's caliber was expected to add value to the magnum opus Dhamarukam. But for some reason she didn't.

The actress looked pale and dull throughout the film. It was director's fault to write a character that is so weak for Anushka, but even when she has a chance to perform, Anushka failed to give the required expressions and show right emotions. She looked disinterested in this film for some unknown reasons.

Anushka is a very active participant in promoting the films that she starred in. But for Dhamarukam she is staying out of action in terms of publicity. The entire burden is being carried by Nagarjuna and Anushka just left away the film as if she doesn't have any responsibility towards it. We all know that Dhamarukam has undergone severe pains prior to release and everyone in the unit needs to do their bit to promote it. But Anushka is currently busy with her other assignments. Looks like the gossips about her not being in good terms with Nagarjuna have something to do with this unusual behavior of Anushka.

Trisha-Poorna-Archana For 'RUM' !!

Three big heroines and their spicy association is always big news for movie lovers as it is like watching three movies on single ticket. And when that association is for 'RUM', it will be giving more kick.

To be more precise, RUM is an upcoming Telugu movie that features petite siren Trisha, glamour queen Poorna and Telugu heroine Archana Sastry. The creativity behind this alcoholic title is that it stands for Ramba-Urvasi-Menaka. Producer MS Raju is the creative sculptor of this title and he has taken this heroine oriented project after failing to launch his son Sumanth Ashwin with a dreamy debut. Though it is still unclear about the director of this flick, it is heard that already Trisha and Poorna are signed, and third lead may be changed if not Archana. While Trisha shot to fame in Tollywood with Raju's 'Varsham', she and Archana have worked with MS Raju earlier for 'Nuvvu Vastanantey Nenoddantana'.

What looks like a big hurdle for this flick is the title itself. Because, three women in the lead and the title 'RUM' is something that disturbs our Censor Board for sure.

NTR's Producer ruins hopes of Kona Venkat !!

Star Writer Kona Venkat is one of the contenders for acquiring the USA theatrical rights of NTR's upcoming film Baadshah. He even publicly declared the news on the social networking platform few months ago. "I offered to take the US rights of BAADSHAH from my brother Bandla Ganesh.. Waiting for his positive reply.. Price doesn't matter," he posted.

However, Kona's role as script writer & dialogue writer for Baadshah and his sweet talk failed to get him what he has desired. Disappointment is a small word to describe the current state of this celebrated writer for losing an opportunity which could earn him some big bucks.

Great India Films have acquired the overseas rights of Baadshah for a record price of about Rs 4.5 crore which is said to be highest in NTR's career. Srinu Vytla brand image has played a big role here and it was he who reportedly insisted the producer to sell the rights to this particular distribution house.

Touted to be a stylish action entertainer, Baadshah will appeal to the urban audiences in a big way and so the competition is such high for bagging rights. Wish it lives up to the expectations!

Nani-Sam's New Angle On Dec 14 !!

The second half of 2012 seems to be a bit dry for Telugu Film Industry with no proper blockbuster on the run for film lovers. But still there are a couple of hopes, and hero Nani's latest flick is one among them.

Nani, whose last outing happens to be super hit 'Eega' is back again with another aesthetic love story. 'Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu' seems to be that movie, and our hero is pairing up with enchantress Samantha for second time. Director Gautham Menon says that this is new-angle altogether and the film will be a farewell treat to 2012. 'Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu is the king of love of stories and it will redefine the course of Tollywood', said producer C Kalyan. But love stories are expected on lover's day (Feb 14), but this film is going to enthral Telugu audiences on Dec 14 itself.

With YVM's release confirmed, this December happens to be an interesting season for Tollywood as many other commercial movies like 'Sarocharu', 'Okkadine' and others.

Ram Charan admits his weakness openly !!

With good screen presence, fantastic grace in dances and the ability to perform breath-taking stunts, Ram Charan is capable of making other stars in the Industry go green with envy. Although he has a couple of blockbusters under his belt and huge success rate, this Mega hero is yet to prove himself in the comedy department. The actor admitted his weakness openly during Alari Naresh's Yamudiki Mogudu audio launch for which he was invited as a chief guest.

Speaking at the event, Charan said,"I don't know whether to start my speech with the Title or Allari Naresh. When I heard about this film for the first time from producer Addala Chanti, I felt like 'Abba Naresh Tesukunnada Ee Title. But, only Naresh can do justice to this title among our generation heroes as we can't generate the comedy like he does. I even told Naresh just now that he should also do the film Chantabhai and play the role of James Bond (Pandu). I hope Naresh will do that! I wish this film will be a milestone in Naresh's career, just alike Magadheera happened for Me."

Directors like Srinu Vytla and Trivikram Srinivas are known for bringing out the best from the actors, in term of comic timing. Hope Charan teams up with these two hotshot filmmakers as soon as possible to nurture his acting skills.

Rare Honour for Balakrishna !!

Nandamuri Balakrishna who was invited as a chief guest for the closing ceremony of 43rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa is all set to highlight the achievements of the Tollywood legends, the contribution of Telugu Cinema and it's impact on 100 years of Indian Cinema.

After a long time, a Telugu star was offered to be the 'guest of honor' at IFFI. Mokshagna, the successor of Balayya, will be accompanying his actor-father to the film festival.

On the other hand, Telugu Film Fraternity is fuming at the organizers of IFFI for ignoring Tollywood completely in the documentary which was intended to pay tribute to 100 years of Indian Cinema. Few of the biggies were even thinking on holding a press meet to take potshot at the IFFI organizers for the unpardonable mistake.

Notably, none of the Telugu films have been qualified for screening at the 43rd International Film Festival of India which kickstarted from November 19 in Goa. IFFI is where India's best films will be showcased to International audience. The central committee has picked up 18 films from various language, which according to them would bring recognition to Indian Cinema.

Richa's 'First Lead' Dreams Come True !!

As long as a heroine sizzles as a second fiddle in movies, no matter how many big projects you do, you are just a glam-doll with no purpose. Our Bengali Bomb realized this fact a bit late, but is trying to correct it now.

Chubby siren Richa Gangaopadhyay hasn't got that dream debut in Telugu, with hero Rana and director Sekhar Kammula taking the complete credits (positive and negative) for her debut flick 'Leader'. Since then, she sizzled as second lead in a couple of hits but never got the chance to become a solo queen. Even her upcoming 'Sarocharu' and 'Mirchi' with two star Telugu heroes are also featuring her as second lead only. But things are not same always, and finally Richa is signed as solo lead opposite King Nagarjuna and that film 'Bhai' is rolling onto floors from today. If this film rings registers, then first-lead bells will ring for Richa.

However, Critics are saying that Richa Gangopadhyay should first focus on her sex-appeal, as she is growing a bit fat these days. With Nag's film in hand, maybe Richa will do all the needed things to turn eyes.

Are Nag And Chaitu Brothers Or Friends? !!

The news of three generation Akkineni heroes in a single movie is doing rounds everywhere. Apart from the stories doing rounds about its title, here is insider information about the movie.

With Annapurna Studios registering the title 'Hum' a couple of days back, gossip guns have blasted that this is the title for ANR-Nag-Chaitu film. Most interestingly, these three people are said to be not playing father-son-grandson in this movie. An insider shared that Nag and Chaitu will be playing either elder brother and young brother or just friends. If we have to believe these reports, we can say that this movie will become another family drama and multi starrer like 'Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu'. But how far audience will digest the fact that these two celebrated father and son and grandson will fit into these different relations on-screen.

Cine analysts are however saying that the probability of this film working out in the near future is very low, as both Nag and Chaitu are busy with their respective ventures.

Trisha Shows Her New Angle !!

The tattoo culture is quite prominent in Bollywood but lately this trend has been on the rise in Tollywood. And one heroine who grabbed a lot of attention with her tattoo is the petite beauty Trisha.

Now, the news about Trisha is that she is all set to show her new angle. According to reports, Trisha has been approached by the noted producer M S Raju for a film which is totally woman-oriented. Trisha would be the title role holder and it is heard that she jumped in joy when she heard the storyline.

Currently, Trisha's career has come into focus owing to the lack of opportunities and the string of flops she had. Though she has the Tamil film 'Samar' to her credit, she is expecting that this new film from M S Raju will bring a new meaning to her ten year old career. Best of luck Trisha!!
