Speaking to a Magazine, Sona said,"I have been using men like a tissue paper only for having sex in last few years. I never believe in the institution of marriage and idea of having a family. I think this as a foolish idea".
Men Organizations demanded a public apology from the actress for making such derogatory remarks and threatened to round up her house on International Men's Day, November 19. Following the protests from Men's protection group, Sona denied giving any such statement to the magazine and also sought police protection. She also described herself as a sensible woman who is trying hard to achieve her goals in business and cinema.
