Shocker: A Woman in Brahmanism banned !!

Contrary to the reports appeared in a section of media, the committee constituted by the state government to review the controversial film 'A Woman in Brahmanism' has given thumbs down for it's makers.

The committee headed by IAS Officer Sahani has submitted its report Today and suggested the government not to allow the film screening in theaters. So, the most controversial film has been banned completely.

Committee's report to Govt came as a shock to many as the committee key member Chandravadhan declared after the screening on Monday that the film's producer has agreed to remove the word Brahmmanism from the title and the objectionable scenes, hinting that the hurdles were cleared for the release. It is being said that some of the members in the committee who found the entire film as degrading a particular community played the spoilsport.

A Woman in Brahmanism is the only film which was banned by the government in recent times, sending a message that films which show any particular community in bad light willn't be tolerated from now. It's time for Filmmakers to pick-up scripts carefully!

Brahmins Divided for Mohan babu ? !!

Today a press meet was organized by Mohan Babu along with some Brahmin priests from Tirupathi and Chennai, condemning the acts done by few Brahmin Associations of state regarding protesting against 'Dhenikaina Ready'. However this is drawing big flak now.

Chennai based Brahmins have condemned the acts of Guntur Brahmins who conducted final rites of Mohan Babu for insulting their community in 'Denikaina Ready' movie. However, Andhra Pradesh based Brahmin associations have differed with the way Tirupathi and Chennai based priests have addressed the issue. 'Why can't these priests look into the side of how Denikaina Ready movie insulted our community? Had they watched the movie in the first place?', asked Brahmin Samaakya head. Looks like, this issue is dividing Brahmins into two groups.

However, Mohan Babu has not spoke a single word about the movie and the protests Brahmins are putting in. 'Issue is in court and I'll respond when time comes', said Mohan Babu.

NTR's Revenge On Telugu Film Industry !!

Even though he worked hard for years, Telugu Film Industry has not given him a single hit to his credit. At least a commercially feasible movie would have made him happy, but that became a distant dream for him. That is why he started taking revenge!

As Tollywood has not given him offers for a long time, he is now doing all possible roles in one year as he got three offers in hand. Nandamuri Taraka Ratna is now the talk of town for the kind of roles he is accepting. On one hand he is acting as a 'Drama Artist' in 'Mike Testing 143' movie, while he is playing a funny Yamudu in 'Nenu Chala Worst' and a lover boy role in 'Vijetha' movie. Latest entry is this devotee role 'Bhakta Siriyala', which is getting filmed with the same name. No doubt, this must be a revenge of NTR as he is firing all flicks by almost same time on audiences.

Even though NTR had no hits and mettle proving, he seems quite lucky to get roles with such variations. Can he deliver at least single hit with any one of them?

Filmmakers cursing Pawan's CGR !!

Yes, it's true! Filmmakers who are stepping into the Censor Board office for the certification before the release have been cursing Pawan Kalyan's Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu for the damage it has done to their films. After the CGR controversy, Censor Officials have decided to be extra cautious while issue the certification, which is eventually killing the directors freedom of speech and their creativity.

From now, dialogues and visuals degrading any individual, community, religion and movement willn't be allowed. Overdose of skin show and objectionable remarks against woman is a strict no.

Vishnu's Denikaina Ready made it to headlines when it's makers raised objections to the cuts issued by the Censor chief.

Rana's Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum which has mining mafia backdrop and also reference to a particular political party faced numerous cuts, ending up losing 18 minutes from the final copy. The film has gone for Censor certification with nearly 2 hr 30 mn runtime and returned with 2 hr 10 mn runtime.

Censor Board's new move has become a big headache for the Telugu film industry which is already suffering from several issues like piracy and the competition from the dubbed flicks.

Hot Actress is a Call Girl, not Sex Worker !!

Actresses picking up bold roles to garner the attention of film lovers when their career hits an all time low isn't a new trend. Buxom babe Charmee who isn't in her best form off late too choose the same path.

Charmee, however, condemns the reports in circulation that she will be seen as a sex worker in one of her upcoming films and clarifies it's the role of a call girl. "I am playing a call girl, not a sex worker. I'm not interested in portraying the stereotypical prostitute who enters into this business to look after her family, So I had turned down several such offers in the past. I took up this role as it's different from what others had done upto now and that's what attracted me," she clarifies, saying call girl is self-employed and sex worker is an employee.

The actress will be seen in the role of Mallika who is independent and unapologetic of what she has been doing. Bold films like Chandini Bar and Chameli has given a lot of recognition for actress Tabu and Kareena. Let's see if Charmee too enters the same league!

C-Board's Over Action At 'Bus Stop' !!

Suddenly our so called Censor Board has become a holy-cow that goes according to rules and chops whatever it hates and whatever it feels that it will hurt some people. This so called over action is now widely discussed in Film Nagar.

The bitter experiences of 'Rambabu' and 'Denikaina Ready' are shaking Censor Board to the core. With the kind of blows given by government and ministers regarding those two flicks, Censor is now terrorizing filmmakers who come for their movie censoring. The other day, makers of 'Bus Stop' movie got shocked when Censor Board imposed 40 cuts. Reports have that all the cleavage and navel shows, double meaning dialogues, flirtatious signs and romantic moves are asked to cut off.

Looks like, there is no question of watching a commercial cinema on Telugu silver screen again, if Censor Board functions in this manner. With all these cuts, the movie will loose more than 20 minutes of run time. So, is this move of CB correct? Critics say that we are just moving a couple of inches to conservative countries like Pak!
