Film Industry is a big place where only creative talents can survive for a long time. One such creative gun is undoubtedly Ram Gopal Varma who is going through a rough phase these days. He is back now, with variety, check it out!

As expected RGV has once again shocked the nation by making a film on what was thought as biggest attack on India, the 26/11 attacks. Rather hitting tinsel with a trailer, Ramu has released the first seven minutes of the movie 'The Attacks of 26/11'.

Moreover, the director is back to his narrative best by bidding adieu to his rogue methodology and other stupid digital camera effects. The first seven minutes is really arresting though it is known story. Let us see if Ramu will come back to his throne again!

The Man who made Pawan & Mahesh 'Actors' !!

Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu are the two biggest stars of Tollywood right now, but they too have undergone a rigorous training sessions before making foray into films. And the man who groomed them is Lanka Satyanand.

Recalling his past and how Pawan became his student, Satyanand said,"Wayback in 1982, Chiranjeevi liked the way I train new actors for theatre and he appreciated me. After 10 years, he called me and asked me to train Pawan. Till that time, I had no idea that Chiru has a brother, other than Nagababu."

"One day, Chiru placed a video camera in front of Pawan and asked him to deliver a single line 'Ent Ra! Nagurinchi Emi Anukuntunnav?'. Everybody including Charan who was a kid then, encouraged him, but he wasn't able to do that! Then Chiru asked his sister Madhavi to utter the same dialogue and she did it! Then Chiru told to Pawan,'When a girl is able to do it, why can't you? Why do you want to enter this field? Choose some other business'. Then Pawan replied if proper training was given to him, he can prove his mettle. That's how I was chosen. After the training, all the members of Chiru family were shocked to see a drastic change in Pawan. I feel very happy to see him doing so well now," he added.

Satyanand has produced 61 heroes including Prabhas, Brahmi's Son and Puri's brother till date. He has opened a film school in Vizag and traines 4-5 people for a batch with a common syllabus for one and all.

DHAMARUKAM Movie Review !!

Movie : DHAMARUKAM
Rating: 3/5
Cast : Nagarjuna, Anushka, Prakash Raj, Ganesh Venkatraman
Directed by : Srinivas Reddy
Produced by : Venkat
Banner : R R Movie Makers
Music : Devisri prasad
Release Date : 2012-11-23

Dhamarukam has finally hit screens today much to the relief of Nagarjuna and his fans. Is the movie worth the wait? Is it going to be a visual feast as promised?

What is it about?

Andhakasura (Ravi Shankar) is a Rakshasa who wants to destroy Earth and its existence. For that he has to marry Maheshwari (Anushka) who was born on an auspicious day. But her lover Malli (Nagarjuna) doesn't allow Andhakasura to execute his plan. Malli gets help from Lord Shiva to counter Andhakasura.

Performances:

Nagarjuna is at ease as Malli. He mouthed few massy dialogues and also looked strikingly handsome in this film. Anushka is alright as the female lead. Ravi Shankar steals the show as Andhakasura. He is a revelation. Everyone that watched the movie will praise him for his wonderful portrayal of the character. Prakash Raj somehow didn't fit the role of Lord Shiva. Ganesh Venkatraman is good as the bad guy. Rest of the star cast are okay.

On the Technical Front:

Cinematography is good and editing is not up to the mark. There are far too many jumps in the flow of the film. Very poorly edited. Music by Devi Sri Prasad is the highlight of the film. Songs are nice and the background score is very good. He has rocked in the scenes connected to Lord Shiva and Andhakasura. Well done Devi.

Director Srinivasa Reddy handled the movie well up to certain level. But beyond that he failed as a director. This film needs excellent visualization and wonderful directorial sparks to keep the audiences glued. But Srinivasa Reddy doesn't possess those skills or maybe he didn't use them to perfection. As a director he scores below average marks. Producer will get hundred for uncompromising production values.

Analysis:

Dhamarukam opens with an interesting premise. The basic plot reminds you of Bhairava Dweepam and Anaganaga O Dheerudu etc. that are made in similar lines. Director tried to make it commercially viable by dealing it in contemporary fashion.

There is comedy and also a romantic track between the lead pair. Both these tracks are not dealt well and more importantly they have brought down the final impact. Second half purely runs on villain character and hence the second hour has better moments than the first half. Last twenty minutes of the film is good with nice visual effects.

Director should have taken extra care on the script as it remains flat throughout without any thrilling moments. Despite using visually generated monsters in the film, the director didn't make use of them. There are many loop holes in the screenplay as well. Saying so, films like Dhamarukam are rarely made in Tollywood. Hope our audiences laps this up despite the drawbacks.

Verdict: Low volume Dhamarukam!
