Writer Serious On 'Sold Out' Remarks !!

This is the second flick in line from the talented writer that is engulfing in controversies and protests. However, when some protesters stressed that he sold himself out, our writer lost his cool and blasted them.

Director cum Writer, BVS Ravi is the key person behind story and dialogues both 'Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu' and 'Denikaina Ready'. After Rambabu issue, Denikaina Ready is getting blasted by Brahmin community for insulting their feelings with some comedy. When a news channel connected BVS Ravi live to a discussion show, he stated that he is also a Brahmin and how will he write something against to his caste. However, a protester accused that Ravi sold himself out for money for taking potshots and fun at Brahmins. Losing his cool, Ravi immediately blasted that protester for his cheap remark before getting disconnected from the line.

When there is an issue, there is Censor Board, there are Courts and there is a way to tackle it. What happens if protesters attack Vishnu and his followers in turn attack them? Nothing!

Allu Arjun says Goodbye to Chubby Beauty !!

Grapevine in the Industry is that the casting of Allu Arjun's upcoming film Iddaru Ammayilatho has undergone few changes. Richa Gangopadhay who signed the film on dotted lines for playing the second female lead is now replaced by Taapsee. Reportedly, Bunny wasn't happy with his pairing with Richa and so he insisted director Puri to rope in Taapsee who is also the first choice for the role. 'Lucky Girl' Amala Paul is the main heroine.

About 90% of the shooting of Iddaru Ammayilatho, touted to be a love story, is expected to take place in a foreign country. Although Puri thought of shooting a major schedule in Spain, the plans were called off due to unfavorable conditions. The unit is currently looking out for some exotic locations in other countries like Australia and New Zealand.

Puri will wrap up the entire talkie part of Iddaru Ammayilatho by December. Although the first copy will be ready by January end, the makers want to wait till April for the release to cash in on the Summer season.

Movie Review " Lucky "

Movie : LUCKY

Rating: 2.5/5

Cast : Srikanth, Meghana, Roja, Brahmanandam and others

Directed by : Hari

Music : Sai Karthik

Release Date : 2012-11-01

Hero Srikanth's latest film Lucky is out in theaters now. Srikanth has been out of form since very long and was completely out of buzz prior to Mahatma. Understandably Lucky movie released with zero hype around it. Considering Srikanth's track record as a centurion hero, Lucky is a notable film as far as Telugu cinema is concerned. Check the details of Lucky.

What is it about?

Lakshmi Narasimha who is fondly known as Lucky (Srikanth) is a unhappy man who is not satisfied with his job or his family. He hates women as most of the women in his life only torture him. He gets a special power of knowing what women think and then his perspective changes.

Performances:

Srikanth simply sleep walked through the role. He is believable as a man in mid thirties despite being older. His performance in the scene where he compares women to wifi network is hilarious. Meghana has nothing much to do except for looking admiringly at Srikanth. There are few popular actors in the support cast. Roja is alright as the strict lady boss.

Brahmanandam has been wasted. AVS is fine. Tagubothu Ramesh and others didn't have sizeable roles to make an impact. Sana didn't look like Srikanth's mother and it has been confessed by Srikanth himself.

On the Technical Front:

Dialogues are not up to the mark. This film is intended to be funny most of the times. But poor writing didn't help the cause. Cinematography is strictly okay. The methods that are implemented are mostly outdated. Music is mediocre. Sai Karthik didn't compose a single impressive tune. Director Hari failed in the writing department itself. He could have made this a laugh riot. Despite having good concept on hands, he failed to translate it into a decent film.

Analysis:

Lucky is a blatant copy of 2000 Hollywood romantic comedy 'What Women Want'. The main plot has been lifted from that film and director added few commercial elements to suit our tastes. However, he has failed miserably with pretty bad writing.

Except for few scenes which are genuinely hilarious, Lucky is a badly made movie. First half is fine with few good laughs, but second half mostly runs on dramatic mode. Terrorism angle given to the film was an utter failure. Those scenes were so stupid that its impact might give an impression that watching Lucky is sheer waste of time.

Despite having fair chance to make this a good entertainer, director couldn't make use of talented star cast. Saying so, Lucky is far better than Srikanth's films like Ranga the Donga etc. Poor openings suggest that Lucky may not be so lucky on the commercial front. You may wait for the home edition if you are planning to watch it.

Verdict: Phew, Srikanth's Bad Luck still haunts!

Brahmins Attacked Vishnu With Stones

Brahmin associations who got beating from Mohan Babu followers the other day have retorted today with a stone pelting act on Hero Manchu Vishnu. Surprisingly Telangana lawyers have also joined Brahmins to attack Vishnu at HRC office.

Manchu Vishnu went to Human Rights Commission office today to file a case against Brahmin associations saying that they tried to intrude into their house the other day when his mother and sister are alone. However, Brahmin associations also approached HRC to file a counter suit against Vishnu that his followers have seriously injured Brahmins physically. Also they demanded the ban of 'Denikaina Ready' movie, the epicentre of all these issues. However, Telangana lawyers shouted harsh slogans against Vishnu and restricted him in filing a petition with HRC. When Vishnu tried to leave in his car from the spot, Brahmins and Telangana lawyers hurled stones at his convoy. It took a while for Vishnu come out of the tense situation and leave safe.

Telangana Advocates warned that they will make Manchu Vishnu leave Hyderabad if the hero's behaviour is the same. Vishnu stated to media that he will continue his legal fight against these Brahmin associations and T-lawyers, and accused that someone is intentionally making this issue from the back.
