Damarukam Budget: T-Town's Biggest Secret !!

Usually the producers in Tollywood hesitate to reveal the actual cost of production of their films due to tax problems, instead they publicize the product with the words 'lavish' and 'no comprise while making it'! Even magnum opus Damarukam isn't an exception either.

As the financial crunches of Damarukam got cleared, Akkineni Nagarjuna stepped out of his house and was seen moving from one studio to the other to promote the film. To a question on actual budget of Damarukam, the actor said he can't reveal those facts as they are certain secrets in Telugu Film Industry. "Even if I say some figure now, that willn't be the actual truth. So, why do you want me to Lie? (he smiles)," says Nag.

According to Nag, Social-fantasy films have the highest success rate in Tollywood. While 30 out of the 100-odd Social-fantasy films released till date were hits, only 5 percent out of the total youthful films have been successful.
