BUS STOP Movie Review !!

Movie : BUS STOP
Rating: 3/5
Cast : Prince, Sri Divya and others
Directed by : Maruthi
Produced by : Bellamkonda Suresh
Banner : Sri lakshmi Narasimha Productions
Music : JB
Release Date : 2012-11-11

Ee Rojullo has set a new trend in Tollywood, which has encouraged many small filmmakers to go after doing youthful films with contemporary situations. Maruti, the director of Ee Rojullo is back with yet another film that falls in this category. This time he had a better financial support and better equipment. So, naturally the output is far more qualitative and impressive. But what about the content?

What is it about?

Srinu and Sailu (Prince and Sri Divya) are childhood friends who madly fall in love with each other. However, their parents don't agree to their love. As a result they get separated from parents and how and when they know the value of parents is the crux of this story. There are many more sub plots and parallel tracks to this story.

Performances:

Prince is Okay as the urban college going youth. He has improved a lot from his first outing Neeku Naaku Dash Dash. He could do better. Sri Divya is alright as the female lead. She doesn't have features of a heroine, but she do looks good in saris. On the performance front she is dead weak.

Rao Ramesh played a character which is like main pillar to this film. He is fine. His sudden variations in expressions and dialog modulation are a treat. Sai of Ee Rojullo fame has done fantabulous job. Although there is so much sleaze in his track, his immaculate timing will make you fall in love with him. He is surely a talent to watch out for. Rest of the star cast are average at best.

On the Technical Front:

Dialogues written by Maruti are hilarious at times despite double entendre. There are few sharp, hard hitting dialogs towards the end. Nice job overall. Editing and Cinematography are alright and the music is more than enough. JB's work stands out in this small film. Quality of the film is neat.

Director Maruti has mastered current youthful feelings and reactions. He has done enough study to make movies that represent today's youth. He has come a long way as a director from his first outing. He has improved a lot in various departments.

Analysis:

If you have liked Ee Rojullo, chances are high for you to end up liking this flick. Director Maruti has chosen a different premise for this film, but he made sure that soul of Ee Rojullo remains intact. Saying so the situations and characters are entirely different, thus making it a decent watch.

First half of the film breezes off even before you notice. There is a good interval bang and later the graph dips a bit. However director lifted it by putting a lengthy entertaining scene to grab the attention back. Climax is emotional and is shot well.

Director has heavily banked upon vulgarity and sleaze. That is the biggest drawback of this film. So Bus Stop will be restricted for youngsters. Director could have made this a wholesome entertainer by reducing adult stuff in many scenes. Despite the setbacks, this film will surely mint money at the box office due to its content and comedy.

Verdict: Adult comedy that strikes right chords with target audiences.

Pawan Is The Cause For Samantha's Exit ? !!

For some 'super creative' reasons, ravishingly hot Samantha is finally out of Ramcharan's 'Yevadu'. Industry insiders have finally managed to get some titbits, which are saying that Pawan is the reason for exit.

Samantha herself notified the other day that 'Yevadu' team wanted to replace her for creative reasons but not for dates problem. Sources are saying that as Sam signed Trivikram's movie opposite Pawan Kalyan, this problem raised. Both 'Yevadu' and Pawan-Trivikram movie will be hitting screens around same time and the makers felt that same girl beside Abbai and Baabai will obviously look awkward. For that reason, makers don't want to disturb Pawan's flick and hence pushed Samantha out of their own movie. Insiders from Dil Raju camp have neither denied nor supported this rumour.

Surprisingly Shruti Hasan is also the girl who scored a hit with 'Baabai' and how can Charan take her in as replacement if he has that sentiment, asks a Cine Observer.

Fan Troubles For 'Seethamma Vaakitlo' ? !!

This is the season of controversies in Tollywood and any single mis-interpretation is leading to a big trouble. After bggies like 'Rambabu' and 'Denikaina Ready' getting beaten, they say that 'Seethamma Vaakitlo' is the next.

Unlike those other movies that dealt with politics and community, Seethamma will not ignite any social controversy. But Cine observers are saying that the movie might create fan-wars in the state. When a multi-starrer releases in Tollywood, people used to see the length of character their hero does and create a scene out of it. For big stars like ANR and Sobhan Babu, fans created a furore when they played shorter length roles in multi-starrer movies. That is why our star heroes started doing these multi starrer movies.

So we have to see how Venky and Mahesh are balanced in 'Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' and how their fans will receive this flick.

Nag's Scary Idea To Save Damarukam !!

With 'Damarukam' missing its third release date in the recent season, one might wonder what the makers will do to get hype back for this flick. As Nagarjuna is the only crowd puller, here is an instant idea of our star-hero to pull hype.

We have seen Sonu Sood as a powerful Aghora in 'Arundati' money and the very design of that character itself sends shivers down the spine. King Nagarjuna is also said to be doing one such role in his latest flick 'Damarukam' that is still reeling with wounds before release. Nag's idea is to release a latest set of wallpapers and posters that feature his Aghora getup, such that the missing 'hype' will be generated again. That means, a scary Nag will be coming in front of us to save the movie.

Hype is okay, but before that release date should be confirmed and right now the buzz is that Damarukam will hit screens on 23rd November. Hope Lord Shiva will bless this movie at least now!

Allu Aravind's master plan for Sirish !!

Allu Aravind is taking utmost care to launch his younger son Allu Sirish as hero. He has strategically planned a bilingual to launch him. Sirish's Gouravam is being made in Tamil and Telugu which is being directed by critically acclaimed Radha Mohan. Aravind has already made up his mind about how Sirish's second film should be.

Success speaks louder in film industry and hence Aravind is planning a commercially viable project as Sirish's second venture. This will be directed by Maruthi, who scored back to back hits with Ee Rojullo and Bus Stop movies. Maruthi knows the pulse of current youth and he makes movies that instantly click with this age group.

Allu Sirish will do his second film under Maruthi direction and this film too would have youthful scenes and comedy as Maruthi's previous films. But this will also have commercial elements to exhibit Sirish skills as a commercial hero. Aravind wants Sirish to appeal to the youngsters as Charan and Allu Arjun are trying to lure the masses and family audiences respectively.

Brahmins Divided for Mohan babu ? !!

Today a press meet was organized by Mohan Babu along with some Brahmin priests from Tirupathi and Chennai, condemning the acts done by few Brahmin Associations of state regarding protesting against 'Dhenikaina Ready'. However this is drawing big flak now.

Chennai based Brahmins have condemned the acts of Guntur Brahmins who conducted final rites of Mohan Babu for insulting their community in 'Denikaina Ready' movie. However, Andhra Pradesh based Brahmin associations have differed with the way Tirupathi and Chennai based priests have addressed the issue. 'Why can't these priests look into the side of how Denikaina Ready movie insulted our community? Had they watched the movie in the first place?', asked Brahmin Samaakya head. Looks like, this issue is dividing Brahmins into two groups.

However, Mohan Babu has not spoke a single word about the movie and the protests Brahmins are putting in. 'Issue is in court and I'll respond when time comes', said Mohan Babu.
