Mega Multi-Starrer on cards !!

The miracle is likely to happen soon on the big screen. Legendary actors Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan who deliberately avoided multi-starrers due to money matters may join hands once again for a purpose.

An actor like Kamal speaking about bankruptcy and leaving the country has hit the right chord with the film lovers all over the world. Upset with Tamilnadu government's harassment against an actor who was in the Industry for over five decades, Rajinikanth has made it clear that he will act in Kamal's film without taking any pay package to save his friend from losses incurred due to Viswaroopam ban.

Trade analysts have predicted the initial loss to the film to the tune of Rs 30 crore and as the screening got delayed further, the damage could be much higher.

If this multi-starrer which fans have been dreaming about all these years goes on floors, nothing could stop Kamal from making profits. A Friend in need is a Friend indeed - Superstar sets an example!

Romantic Hero Inviting Stones & Satires? !!

This romantic hero and lady director are sculpting a film from a long time and many youths are eagerly waiting for their film. Their next outing is 'Jabardasth' and the film is going to hit theatres this month.

Romantic hero Siddharth and one-flick wonder Nandini Reddy are the two celebrities we are talking about. However, both of them are now playing with fire, not once but twice. The first look of much awaited 'Jabardasth' is out and the theme of two songs is really shocking. If one song revolves around the culture of Telangana, with a voice saying that 'only Telangana on the floor', another song starts with 'Allah' and Samantha is sizzling hot with all waist show in that video. Who knows, these days every small point is turning into a big issue and these two 'subjects' are the best provocative ones in town at the moment.

If anyone gets hurt with these two, then Siddharth should be ready to face stones and satires, shared a media person. However, critics are saying that both these songs are looking like works made purely for entertainment but not for targeting any particular group.

First Look: Powerstar In Trivikram's Movie !!

Reports in the media earlier stated that Pawan Kalyan has hit gym secretly for many weeks to tone down his body. Along with this, he is heard sporting a new look altogether in the upcoming movie with Trivikram. And that look is out now!

Including mega fans, every Telugu film lover expected Pawan to look something different in his upcoming family entertainer with Trivikram. However, when an enthusiastic fan met Pawan the other day at the shooting spot of his film, his look is all simple and same. Along with his trademark hair style and moustache, Pawan looks with full energy as usual like in a 'Jalsa' or 'Rambabu' or 'Gabbar Singh'. Though this attire is not a fresh and new one, fans are rejoicing to see a slightly slimmer Pawan.

Shooting of Trivikram's movie is right now going in Hyderabad and in a couple of weeks the unit is expected to fly Spain for a long schedule. Samantha is playing Pawan's girl in this flick.

Huge relief for Manchu Lakshmi !!

Manchu Lakshmi's ambitious project Gundello Godaari has been lying in cans for so long. This film was supposed to see light in 2012 itself, but it didn't hit the screens as buyers didn't show interest in this art-house film. Gundello Godari is based on Godavari floods and is set in 1986 backdrop.

Manchu Lakshmi, Taapsee, Aadi Pinisetty and Sundeep Kishan played the lead roles in this movie directed by a debutante. Lakshmi was pretty confident about Gundello Godari to be a path breaking film. However, much to her astonishment Gundello Godari didn't attract buyers. After going through so many struggles the film is releasing in the last week of this month.

The buzz on this film is very good from the industry circles. Director implemented a good narrative technique to hook the viewers it seems. Second half of the film is wonderful says the buzz. Climax of the film is heart touching and on a whole Gundello Godari is a decent film that appeals to the movie lovers, say sources. Well that is a wonderful buzz for a movie that was locked for more than four months in the cans.

Ram Charan business with Dil Raju !!

It is known that both the films 'Nayak' and 'Seethamma… ' got great openings and are running successfully giving a good start to 2013. With the success of 'Nayak', Ram Charan seems to be in full josh and is actively working for his long awaited action thriller and his forth coming movie 'Yevadu'.

It was heard that Charan has lot of hopes on this film and is practically moving on the business grounds with the producer Dil Raju. Instead of taking remuneration, he asked for Nizam distribution rights of the film. Even Dil Raju agreed for this deal. Geetha arts bagged the distribution rights of both East and West Godavari districts.

Sruthi Hassan is pairing up with Ram Charan in this film, while Brindavanam fame Vamsi Paidipally is directing this film. Allu Arjun is going to be seen in a keen role in this film.

Samantha scared of Comedy !!

Sultry siren Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who is on a roll with spree of hits and a double-hat trick to her credit 'Ye Maya Chesave', 'Brindavanam', 'Dookudu', 'Eega', 'Yeto Vellipoindi Manasu', is scared! What has scared the spunky girl is the big question. Samantha has teamed up with lady director Nandini Reddy for the first time and this is also not the reason. Starring Siddharth and Sam, the movie has been titled as 'Jabardasth'.

Billed to be out-and-out entertainer, Samantha is doing hilarious scenes for the first time. This has apparently scared Samantha. She said, 'I'm scared as first of its kind I'm doing comedy. Of course, I feel it is very difficult to make people laugh. Whereas, I found it easy doing emotional scenes compared to humorous scenes.

I'm eagerly looking forward to the movie release.I can't wait!'

Top Heroine feels uncomfortable with Charan !!

The chemistry between the lead pair is crucial for any film's success at the Box Office. There are many occasion where a sparkling chemistry between the actors itself ensured a big success and also cases of few films which went on to become biggest duds when they lacked the same aspect. Yevadu, the most awaited film of 2013, is facing the same problem.

Shruti Haasan seems to finding it hard to get the right kind of rapport with her co-star Ram Charan. The actress joined the shoot of Yevadu being directed by Vamsi Paidipalli (Brundavanam fame) on Wednesday.

In a candid interview, Shruti spoke about all her upcoming films. When asked how was the experience working with Charan on the sets of Yevadu, she replied,"Nothing seems to be working at the moment, but I'm very excited to team up with Vamsi and Charan".

It's not a good way to kickstart a Mega project like Yevadu. Both Charan and Shruti make a good looking pair onscreen, but they need to get it right to become a hit pair. Hope things get better as the days progressed!

Raviteja Switched Off All Mouths !!

After a long time, Mass Raja Raviteja made his presence felt in the media at the trailer launch of his latest movie 'Balupu'. But before coming before cameras, it is heard he switched off their mouths.

Rumors have that Mass Raja don't want anyone to ask about his absence in media from quite a time. During the release of 'Sarocharu', Ravi Teja hasn't come any promotional events of the movie and that became a big talk then. They say that due to some monetary issues with producer Aswhini Dutt, our hero hasn't cooperated for the publicity. And now, they say that Ravi don't want any media person to ask questions about that.

That's why he hasn't spent much time with media people before the start of event and after the event. But how long he will avoid media without revealing truths?

Pawan's Gym Report Is A Big Secret !!

Well, many people are eagerly waiting for the 'Gym Report' of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan from a long time. If you don't know what it is, then you have to read this story.

The shooting of Pawan's latest movie with Trivikram was expected to start somewhere in the first week of December last year. But that hadn't kick started and there is reason behind this. They say that Trivikram wanted Pawan to hit the gym for some weeks at least before the actual shoot gets started. Because this mega hero is looking slightly fat in his last movie 'Rambabu'. While his fitness in 'Puli' is rocking, his loosened tummy and bulging cheeks are making him look aged in 'Rambabu'. Anyway the shooting of Trivikram's movie started the other day, and everyone is keen on how Pawan is looking after hitting the gym.

Source revealed that Pawan is busy till yesterday spending all the time with weights and exercises. And his latest look will be a big secret until the movie hits screens. Let's hold the excitement then.

Viswaroopam Movie Review !!

Movie : Viswaroopam
Rating: 3.25/5
Cast : Kamal Haasan, Rahul Bose, Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremaiah and others
Directed by : Kamal Haasan
Produced by : Kamal Hassan, Prasad
Banner :
Music : Shankar Ehsaan Loy
Release Date : 2013-01-25
Kamal Haasan's magnum opus Viswaroopam is finally out in theaters after going through various troubles to see light. Although the Telugu version of the movie released, the original version has been banned for fifteen days in Tamilnadu. So we get to see his film earlier than the Tamils.

What is it about?

This film is about Islamic terrorism based in Afghanisthan. Protagonist Vishwanadh aka Taufique aka Kashmiri (Kamal) is a jeehadi trainer and he is on a mission. Jihadi leader Omar (Rahul Bose) has scores to settle with Vishwanadh, who is leading his life as a normal dance school teacher. There is other side to Vishwanadh and that is the main base for this story.

Performances:

Kamal Haasan is as effective as ever. He has done a fabulous job as dance teacher and Jihadi trainer. The variations he shows for various shades of his character and the changes he brings about in his body language are impeccable. Not many actors could pull of this role at ease. Rahul Bose is fine as the baddie. He made his character believable with natural performance. Pooja Kumar is okay as Kamal's loud mouthed wife. Andrea did a tom boyish role and she is okay too. Nasser and others supported the main cast very well.

On the Technical Front:

There is no scope for songs in this action drama with some good thrills. However Kamal sneaked in few songs which were out of place. First song featuring Kamal as dance teacher should be chopped off immediately. It is painful on eyes and ears as well. Background score is good. Cinematography is the major asset to this film. Sanu Verghese captured the locations of the Afghanistan wonderfully well. Editing could have been way better. The film is sloppy at times.

Technically the movie is brilliant and the producers should be commended for spending so many crores of rupees on the movie without any compromise. Kamal Haasan wielded mega phone after a long time. He has been writing stories in the recent past but they were directed by others. Difference is clearly visible as he had immense command over every detail in this film. Any other director may not have done justice to this subject as Kamal did. Despite few shortcomings, Viswaroopam is easily the best among recent Kamal Haasan's movies.

Analysis:

This film is an action drama based on Islamic terrorism. Kamal Haasan didn't take sides in this film and hence there is so much reality in the portrayal of the story. Most of the times directors take either the army or terrorists side and you can see one side approach in those films.

Kamal Haasan made sure to stick with the reality and that turns out to be a boon for Viswaroopam. It is very different to what we see in the films linked with terrorism. World directors often make films with this concept and there were many great films in this genre. Viswaroopam's story might be weak but it is on par with those international films in the making standards.

We are not exaggerating about the making standards of the movie. Viswaroopam will rank among the top Indian films in terms of production values and technical wizardry. Sometimes you get a feeling like you are watching the dubbed version of a Hollywood film. Kudos to the director and producers and also the cinematographer.

Viswaroopam doesn't have any commercial elements and lacks mass entertainment. However, it has its own merits and has to be watched for its technical brilliance.

Verdict: Viswaroopam - Indian movie with international making standards

Manchu Laxmi in wamp character? !!

Ever since, Anushka started the craze on prostitute roles through her Amalapuram Saroja in Vedam film, our heroines are after this sex worker role to show their mettle in acting and for skin show. Recently, Charmi is going to see as prostitute in 'Preme oka maikam' movie and Sriya in 'Pavitra' is doing the similar role.

Now it is turn of Manchi Laxmi who seems like joined this list. Maverick director Maniratnam's forthcoming film Kadali (in Telugu) which has starring of Gautam and Tulasi, Manchu Laxmi is going to be seen in a different role that is close to a prostitute.

Mani ratnam in an interview given to a national newspaper reported that though it's a small role but got its prominence in the story. It is heard that this role has all the features of a prostitute.

Mahesh breaks Mega heroes record !!

According to trade reports, Mahesh Babu-Venkatesh starrer 'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' stood as top grosser in US breaking the previous records of Telugu blockbusters like 'Gabbar Singh' and 'Eega'. Pawan Kalyan's 'Gabbar Singh' has collected $ 1 million in US in 12 days of its release while Rajamouli's 'Eega' took 20 days to reach the mark. The latest reports from overseas say that

'SVSC' has cross the above record in just two days of its release. It has grossed Rs 5,75,34,750 ($ 1.05 million) in just two days and doing exceptionally well at the US box-office. Interestingly, Ram Charan's 'Naayak', which released on Jan 9, though slightly lagging, has grossed Rs 1,85, 83, 700.

Noted trade pundit Taran Adarsh tweeted, "2013 starts with a big bang for Telugu film industry! #SVSC crosses $ 1 million mark on Sat [total: $ 1,043,369 from 68 locations]. SUPERB!" He divulged the business details of Charan's 'Naayak' too. "Telugu film #Naayak USA Tue to Sat total: $ 339,150 from 52 locations." Popular PRO BA Raju tweeted, "SVSC is setting new land marks in US. Touches 1$ Million mark in just 2 days."

This is the new talk of the town as Mahesh Babu has broke the records of both mega heroes- Pawan Kalyan and Ram Charan. It's once again proved that Mahesh Babu's mania is slightly ahead than Pawan.

Naayak Movie Review !!

Movie : Naayak
Rating: 3.5/5
Cast : Ram Charan, Kajal Agarwal, Amala Paul, Brahmanandam, MS Narayana, Jayaprakash Reddy, Posani
Directed by : VV Vinayak
Produced by : Danayya DVV
Banner : Universal Media
Music : SS Thaman
Release Date : 2013-01-09
Ram Charan who has scored a big hit with Racha last year is back with Naayak, which is also a commercial entertainer with high doses of action and comedy. VV ViNaayak who is known as good commercial director made yet another commercial potboiler.

What is it about?

Charan aka Cherry (Ram Charan) is a guy with cool attitude and doesn't fear anyone. He can tackle any situation with intelligence. However he gets into a problem when CBI suspects him as the main culprit in a serial murders case. There is other side of the story where Siddharth Naayak (Charan) turns into a mass leader at young age. What is the relation between Cherry and Siddharth? What is the reason for serial murders?

Performances:

Ram Charan is very agile and confident in both the characters. However, for obvious reasons the director didn't ask for much variation between both the characters. Hence Charan didn't have to do much as an actor. He has a strong screen presence and he shoulders the film effortlessly.

He is supported by a great star cast where most of them made their presence felt. Jayaprakash Reddy stands out in the comedy department. His serious comedy in a frustrated role is hilarious. Posani Krishna Murali is a surprise package. His comedy with a blank face in the 'Chocolate' scene will have you in splits of laughter. Brahmanandam too made his presence felt, but here the cake is taken by JP. MS Narayana, Venu Madhav and Raghu Babu are alright. They didn't get the best lines like others did.

Rahul Dev, Pradeep Rawath and Ashish Vidhyardhi are alright. Heroines Kajal and Amala Paul have nothing much to do. Kajal got better screen time than Amala. The latter was simply wasted and restricted to a couple of songs. Charmi is fine in the rocking item song.

On the Technical Front:

Songs are already big hit on audio. They are well shot too. Laila O Laila stands out with mind blowing dance moves of Ram Charan. Subhaleka song is a visual treat. Background score is good. Editing is fine. Cinematography is pretty good. Dialogues written by Akula Shiva are witty. His dialogue in comedy scenes worked out very well.

Director ViNaayak made sure that the film has everything to lure the masses and common audience. Critics may cringe a bit about the logical errors and larger than life story, but the much needed entertainment for common audience has been provided. In spite of having an age old revenge story on his hands, ViNaayak's screenplay made it look fresh. He has mixed action with comedy to the hilt.

Analysis:

We have been repeatedly raving about the comedy in Naayak from many days and our sources proved to be right. Comedy is the main highlight in Naayak. More than anything comedy clicks and how? Comedy scenes have clicked so well that audience will remember only those scenes after they leave the theaters.

They have added repeat value to the film as the comedy is fresh and appealing. Added to that there are Ram Charan's superb dances and songs too. It has fair amount of action for action lovers. It is a complete film which offers something every kind of audience. The movie has been inspired a lot from various hit films, but the director gets the formula correct.

First half of the film is just okay with a decent interval bang. Second half is the heart of the movie where the real story unfolds. However the pace slows down a bit at one point and ViNaayak comes back with a superb comedy scene which gets things back on track. Serious action film turns into a comic entertainer with a simple twist in the tale.

That made the difference for Naayak to become a better commercial film as the comedy clicked right before the super catchy Hey Naayak song. Climax could have been better. The biggest plus points of the movie is it never bores you and runs at a very good pace throughout. It has all the stuff to be a winner in this pongal season. The movie has already opened to superb mouth talk all over.

Verdict: Perfect dish for Pongal audience - Naayak!

Nani dual role in 'Janda Pai Kapiraju' !!

Doing a dual role always occupies top place in list of any actor. Right from NTR's 'Ramudu Bheemudu' in 1964 to upcoming Ram Charan-starrer 'Naayak' which is slated for release on Jan 10, the dual role movies have been getting wide attention from audiences.

Now, the latest to join this list is young hero Nani. Nani, who is on a roll, with a spree of hit films Rajamouli's 'Eega', Gautham Menon's 'Yeto Vellipoyindi Mansu', is all set to portray dual role in his upcoming film 'Janda Pai Kapiraju'. Acclaimed director Samuthrakhani, who directed films like 'Sambho Siva Sambho', 'Sangharshana', is wielding the megaphone.

Nani himself confirmed, "I'm fortunate to bag this opportunity to work in 'Janda Pai Kapiraju'. This is going to be a landmark film in my career. Usually, actors who have done 50-60 films would get such roles. I'm very lucky to get this role at early of my career. I play dual role in this film." Amala Paul plays Nani's romantic interest. She plays deglamourized role in the film like all Samuthrakhani's films. But if you are eagerly looking forward to watch Nani's dual role you've to wait till September. Since, it is bilingual (Tamil-Telugu), the makers are shooting separate scenes in different locations for each language. Currently, the first schedule of shooting is progressing at Manikonda, Hyderbad.

Meanwhile, Nani's other film 'Paisa' directed by Krishna Vamsi is nearing completion.
