Ram Charan's Bollywood project Zanjeer remake landed in legal tangle with the producer failing to fulfill the terms of the contract!
Prakash Mehra produced the 1973 super hit flick Zanjeer which stars Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan. As Prakash Mehra is no more, his sons hold the remake rights of the film. One of the three sons and Charan's Zanjeer producer, Amit Mehra, strike a deal with his two brothers for transferring the authority of remake rights completely to him. However, Amit failed to pay the promised amount to his brothers who have recently terminated the remake contract.
Shocked with the development, Amit Mehra approached the Bombay High Court which gave permission to shoot the film, but made it clear that he can't release the remake until further orders from the bench.
When quizzed about the contract termination, Amit stated he is making efforts to settle the dues as early as possible and release the film without any glitches. On the other hand, his brothers are firm on upholding the termination of the contract till they were paid the amount. Wish the legal problems end soon for a smooth release of Zanjeer Remake!
