Nani dual role in 'Janda Pai Kapiraju' !!

Doing a dual role always occupies top place in list of any actor. Right from NTR's 'Ramudu Bheemudu' in 1964 to upcoming Ram Charan-starrer 'Naayak' which is slated for release on Jan 10, the dual role movies have been getting wide attention from audiences.

Now, the latest to join this list is young hero Nani. Nani, who is on a roll, with a spree of hit films Rajamouli's 'Eega', Gautham Menon's 'Yeto Vellipoyindi Mansu', is all set to portray dual role in his upcoming film 'Janda Pai Kapiraju'. Acclaimed director Samuthrakhani, who directed films like 'Sambho Siva Sambho', 'Sangharshana', is wielding the megaphone.

Nani himself confirmed, "I'm fortunate to bag this opportunity to work in 'Janda Pai Kapiraju'. This is going to be a landmark film in my career. Usually, actors who have done 50-60 films would get such roles. I'm very lucky to get this role at early of my career. I play dual role in this film." Amala Paul plays Nani's romantic interest. She plays deglamourized role in the film like all Samuthrakhani's films. But if you are eagerly looking forward to watch Nani's dual role you've to wait till September. Since, it is bilingual (Tamil-Telugu), the makers are shooting separate scenes in different locations for each language. Currently, the first schedule of shooting is progressing at Manikonda, Hyderbad.

Meanwhile, Nani's other film 'Paisa' directed by Krishna Vamsi is nearing completion.

Twists Of 2012 !!

Many unexpected things have happened in 2012 and that opened new doors for some while closing the chances of some people. On a whole it is really strange as to why all of them happened in the same year.

Raviteja: Our star commercial hero always had one single hit in a calendar year even though his other ventures tumbled at Box Office. But this time, all this four films including Nippu, Daruvu, Devudu Chesina Manushulu and Sarocharu are big flops. They say that he lost his golden streak and Mass Raju should really work on this.

Nitin: With almost 12 flop films after Rajamouli's 'Sye', young hero Nitin was a disappointed jack until he has seen new hopes with 'Ishq'. The film is a trendsetting hit for him and he is on a rage now with three movies in hand. Even Telugu industry felt happy as its very own hero got rid of that flop-hero tag.

Shruti Hasan: The super flop of movies like 'Anaganaga O Dheerudu', '3', 'Oh My Friend' and '7th sense' have labelled her as Iron-Leg girl. But things got overturned for her with Powerstar's 'Gabbar Singh' becoming the mega blockbuster of year. Shruti became a busy actress in both Tollywood and Bollywood. Charan's 'Yevadu' and Raviteja's 'Balupu' are her upcoming films.

Ileana: From a couple of years, Ileana was tasting only flops and in the form of 'Julayi', there came a big relief for her in Tollywood. However, the ravishing beauty felt that she is required only for her body in Telugu films, and tried to show her acting-skills for Bollywood. That's it, she got huge critical acclaim through 'Barfi' and she is a big name in B-town now.

Nayantara: Though she is a proved seductress in Tollywood, her affair with Prabhudeva, exit from film after 'Sri Rama Rajyam' are two big things. Surprisingly, she broke up with him and came back to acting with 'Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum'. Rather acting in movies, Nayan had shown a proper Telugu movie through her life.

Controversies Of TFI 2012 !!

2012 is the year of controversies for Tollywood and shockingly some of them have turned fruitful for our producers.

T-Heat For Rambabu: Power star Pawan Kalyan and director Puri Jagan's combo has created a sensation with 'Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu'. However, various political outfits from T-region have protested against this movie due to some hard hitting dialogues. Attacks took place on Puri and Dil Raju's offices and finally the film got trimmed. However, it is money everywhere as people rushed to theatres to find out what exactly is the problem for these protests.

Brahmins Vs Mohan Babu: The film 'Denikaina Ready' has stirred a big fight between Brahmin community and actor Mohan Babu. They alleged that the actor has insulted their community and their women through this movie. Surprisingly this film happens to be first hit for Manchu Vishnu after 'Dhee' movie. All the tussles helped the flick get huge publicity and collections. The issue is still in court.

Woman In Brahmanism: This is not a film that is ready to be screened in theatres but its raunchy trailer on YouTube has enraged Brahmin communities in our state. After a lot of protest and political pressures, the film's clips are removed from internet.

Lawrence Is Not Rebel: Though Lawrence exaggerated the result of 'Rebel' during audio launch, he failed to deliver the output. The film failed and producers complained against him for crossing the said initial budget. Finally, our dance master has to pay 2.5 crores fine to producers.

Yes Teacher: While the movie name is 'Sorry Teacher', many women's organizations have objected about this 'hot' teacher and the case was fought in court. But finally a clearance was given for release, and the makers have cashed on the craze through openings and satellite-rights.

Director Playing football with Prabhas !!

S S Rajamouli happens to be a superstar director, but even he tends to draw inspiration from other blockbusters. That happened many a times and here is the latest report about it.

Obviously, S S Rajamouli's 'Sye' is an true inspiration from Amir Khan and Ashutosh Gowariker's 'Lagaan' movie. In that superhit Hindi flick, they play cricket to settle the tax issue, while in 'Sye' they play rugby to settle playground issue. Wide discussions are happening in Film Nagar now that Rajamouli is gearing ahead to draw inspiration from another hindi flick now. It happens to be blockbuster movie 'Chak De' that highlights the need to stay united for Indians. However the central theme of this hair rising flick is Hockey game, while Rajamouli has chosen Foot Ball, say sources.

Most surprising thing is that this 'foot ball film' happens to be the film he is going to make with Prabhas, but not a period flick as in publicity. Maybe it is for this reason Prabhas is heard practising foot ball from a couple of weeks to get the moves and kicks right. Let us wait for some official news.

Yamudiki Mogudu Movie Review !!

Movie : Yamudiki Mogudu
Rating: 3/5
Cast : Allari Naresh, Richa Panai, Ramya Krishna, Sayaji Shinde and others
Directed by : E Sattibabu
Produced by : Chanti Addala
Banner : Friendly Movies
Music : Koti
Release Date : 2012-12-27
We are not new to films that are set up with Yama Lokam backdrop. Telugu cinema has been churning out good number of 'Yama movies' in the recent past. It is Allari Naresh's turn to test this formula.

What is it about?

Naresh (Allari Naresh) marries Lord Yama (Sayaji Shinde) daughter Yamaja (Richa Panai) in a stage play and she comes after him saying that he is her real husband. When Naresh too falls for her Yama comes from Yama Loka to take back his daughter. Naresh follows him there as he has special powers.

Performances:

Naresh has done well within his limitations. He is at ease in comedy scenes and did his best in emotional situations. Richa Panai is just a glam doll. Sayaji Shinde didn't suit the role of Yama. Master Bharat as Young Yama is good. Krishna Bhagavan is hilarious and Raghu Babu is loud. Ramya Krishna is decent. Tanikella Bharani is topnotch.

On the Technical Front:

Koti's music is not good. Except for Atho Athamma kooturo remix nothing really works. Dialogues are good with fine one liners. Graphics are okay and the art department has done a neat job. Production values are good for a film with medium range star cast.

Director Sattibabu made sure that there is enough comedy in the film to make the film 'paisa vasool entertainer'. He should have written a better screenplay to make it a better film. As of now it is just an average effort from the director.

Analysis:

First half of the film races ahead with right doses of entertainment. Barring a couple of unwanted comedy scenes, first half is pretty decent with an interesting interval bang. People would expect the second half to be more fun.

However, the film fell short of expectations in the latter half as the director tried to make it a commercial film. Had he stuck to the comedy genre Yamudiki Mogudu might have scored more marks. There is not enough comedy in the second half.

The film drags on and on towards the climax. Joker song is completely unnecessary during the penultimate scene. This is where the film loses steam and ends up as an average fare. Most of Allari Naresh's films did well even with weaker content than this. So this should fare well at the box office too.

Verdict: Mass comedy with a sentimental climax

T-Town's Biggest Hits on Small Screen !!

Television screenings play a huge role in making the films reach out to a wider section of audience, eventually generating huge revenues based on the TRP Ratings. Which are the top three TRP films on Television? Check this out ...

Magnum opus Magadheera holds the top spot with a TRP rating of 20, sic-fi flick Robo follow it with 19 rating and graphical extravaganza Eega seals the third place with 18 rating. These figures are generated during the first telecast.

The common thing among these films is their good star cast, lavish budgets, extraordinary visual effects, perfect blend of action and emotions along with never seen before episodes. Out of the top three films, two of them were directed by Rajamouli and that shows the impact of his films on film buffs. On the other hand, Rajinikanth emerged second in the list outshining all the Tollywood biggies and it's also a reflection of his popularity among the Telugus. With few big ticket films gearing up for the release in the next two months, let's see if any one of those could pose a threat to these three films.

Why Charan worried with Item Girls? !!

More than worrying about the total output of the movie or about other departments, this young Mega hero is taken down by item-girls. One will wonder what for an item-girl is so important than rest of the film.

All the time, Mega Powerstar Ramcharan is busy looking for right girls who can match steps with him in his upcoming movies including Nayak, Yevadu and Zanjeer. After checking with three beauties, shooting for a day or two with them, Charan dropped those girls and roped in Charmi finally for 'Yevvaramantey Eluru' song from Naayak. He is said to be doing same exercises for Yevadu and Zanjeer item songs too. Why so much hungama for an item-bomb is a question which Charan needs to answer.

Film lovers say that more than a heroine, an item-girl is the perfect pairing for any hero when it comes to shaking hips and legs to raunchy moves. For this reason, an item-bomb should be both sizzling in glamour and striking in dances. This fact is said to be giving headaches to Charan and hence his extra care for them.

Real Story Of Hero Nani's Wife !!

2012 has become a great year for Nani with three big things happening in his life. Apparently he got applause with Rajamouli's 'Eega', Gowtham Menon's 'Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu' and got married to his friend Anjana.

Ever since Nani announced about his engagement and marriage to Anjana, there are always stories doing rounds that she is a childhood friend of Nani. Some stated that she was his Facebook friend and after chatting she turned into his love interest. But they all are incorrect and the true story goes this way. She happens to be a regular caller for Nani's radio show 'Non Stop Nani' on Worldspace radio, where he used to work as a Radio Jockey. Afterwards they turned into phone friends and later lovers and finally got married. That is the real story behind Nani's wife guys!

Nani is currently busy with Krishnavamsi's 'Paisa' and Tamil flick 'Janda Pai Kapiraju'. He is aiming to break into that star hero slot in 2013 with these stunning flicks that feature him with unique characterization.

Superstar Quits Acting !!

Any superstar can rule the roost only for a while and afterward they have to take an exit. This is not because that they cannot act any more but of the fact that they want to lead a stress-free life for a while at least.

This Superstar has won the hearts of Tollywood audiences for many years and kept on blinking on the screen now and then. He is Superstar Krishna, the first one to live upto the title 'Superstar'. However, Krishna has decided not to act in any role from today. He stated that he want to stay away from acting and politics for the rest of his life in order to lead a peaceful life. 'I'm not energetic enough to act anymore, so it will be my retirement from films. Even in politics I don't want to take any role', said Krishna.

Superstar Krishna will always remain in the hearts of Telugu people for his handsome looks and stunning movies including 'Alluri Seetharamaraju', 'Mosagallaku Mosagadu' and 'Gudachari 116'. Apart from many delivered classics, these two stand as epitomes both for his acting and his penchant towards technically brilliant movies.

Prabhas and Rana as Hero and Villain? !!

They are the two biggest hunks in Telugu film industry. While one is already a star hero, the other one just proved his acting mettle but has to become a successful star hero. What if they have to clash with each other?

Hunk hero Prabhas is trying all possible ways to become the numero-uno hero of Tollywood. Apart from 'Mirchi', he is depending on Rajamouli's movie for this. There is a gossip doing rounds in Film Nagar that another hunk Rana Daggubati is playing villain to Prabhas in Rajamouli's flick. Some say that Rana is doing a key role but not acting as a villain in that period-movie. After watching the superb performance of Rana in 'Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum', Rajamouli has taken a decision to cast him, says another film lover. But our director is yet to say a word about this.

If Prabhas and Rana act in a film, then that is going to be another big talk like 'Seethamma Vaakitlo...' where Mahesh and Venky are sharing screen space. Looks like Tollywood will surely travel towards multi-starrers in the coming times.

Venkatesh in Pawan's Uniform? !!

Soon, Venky will be thrilling Telugu audiences with his family-hero acts once again through 'Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu'. And then our hero wants to focus on delivering action-entertainers itself.

A big rumour is doing rounds in Film Nagar right now about the 'give and take' policy offered by family hero Venkatesh to Bollywood hero. Reports have that Venky will be giving away his 'Shadow' to Salman Khan and in turn he will be getting the rights of 'Dabangg 2'. Both the heroes are said to be considering the option of remaking each other's film. With Powerstar Pawan Kalyan showing no interest in remaking 'Dabangg 2' or making 'Gabbar Singh 2', Venky is said to be moving pawns to see himself in police uniform for Gabbar Singh sequel. Also, Venky is in desperate need of a solo hit as most of his latest offerings turned average fares at Box Office.

Venky is always famous for both his comedy timing and action episodes. In the role of that comic police officer 'Chulbul Pandey', he looks like the only eligible actor fit for it after Pawan. Watch this space for more updates.

Bunny Gives Special Treat In This Way !!

Well, every celebrity has their own style when it comes to celebrating a moment of victory and triumph. But our stylish hero is always different and proved it once again today.

We have seen many celebrities getting huge fan following on twitter and facebook pages. However, when the number of people following them crosses a particular figure, these celebrities announce it and shout happily but nothing else. Stylish Hero Allu Arjun is completely different and he celebrated for his 5 lakh followers on Facebook in a different way. He has done a special photo shoot for his fans to make them rejoice. Mega fans are going merry with these latest treat.

Our heroes generally feel that their look in their upcoming flicks will be revealed if they pose for such shoots. But Bunny is a stylish and different guy altogether who is worried about fans than everything else. Way to go stylish star!

Rajamouli's Fans Will Sleep Well Tonight !!

Rajamouli is not just a director but a 'brand' in this country where people cut their ears for the sake of entertainment. His fans are said to be getting good sleep tonight, as their rival got a big blow in the face.

Though Hindi flick 'Barfi' is a perfect movie to become an Oscar nominee, our very own Tollywood fans are disappointed that Rajamouli's technically brilliant 'Eega' was not considered as an eligible flick. Rajamouli's hardcore fans predicted then that 'Barfi' will not make it to final list as the movie got copied themes from various foreign films. As per their expectation, this movie was shown doors by Oscar panel, though the exact reason is not known. Barfi was kicked out from the pre-final list of 9 movies of which only five will get the final nomination. While the whole of India got disappointed, Rajamouli's fans are having a laugh secretly.

Maybe, if India has sent 'Eega' as a nomination, the panel might have considered the technical abilities of Indian films, says a critic. But Oscar panel generally prefers raw emotions and natural depictions.

Rajini's Heroine to Dance with Pawan? !!

The latest buzz doing rounds in T-town is that a leading Bollywood heroine has been zeroed in for an item number in Pawan Kalyan's upcoming film directed by Trivikram Srinivas. She is debuting into South with Rajinikanth's 'Kochadaiyaan'. The hot actress is none other than Deepika Padukone.

Pawan Kalyan, who has fetish for non-native girls, has earlier worked with Ameesha Patel in 'Badri', Neha Oberoi in 'Balu', Nikeesha Patel in 'Puli', Anjali Lavania and Sara-Jane Dias in 'Panjaa', Malaika Arora in 'Gabbar Singh', Gabriela Bertante and Scarlett Wilson in 'Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu'. Though the news is not yet confirmed or denied by anyone, seems like Deepika has been okayed for Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram movie.

If all goes well, Deepika and Pawan will dance for Devi Sri Prasad's hot item number.

Prabhas Falls for Heroine's Voice !!

Telugu audiences were bowled by this Arabian Horse with her debut flick 'Super' itself. Apart from those stunning curves and titillating performance, this Sweety has something else she can offer.

Apparently, Anushka has mesmerizing our hunk hero with her latest talent. Reports have that Tollywood's star lover boy Prabhas got bowled by this heroine's mesmeric voice. After testing her Telugu fluency for a scene, Prabhas is now said to be insisting to dub herself for the upcoming 'Mirchi'. Already a couple of scenes are dubbed by the seductress and they came out very well, says a source. So it will be real treat to see a tall hero and tall heroine thrilling audiences with their own voices. Mirchi is being directed by writer Koratala Shiva and released date is not fixed yet.

The likes of Tamanna and Samantha have also dubbed for movies like 100% love and Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu, but their voice got replaced by a professional voice just a couple of weeks before release. So let us see what happens to Anushka's new offering.
